Diana Foden

I have been interested in drawing and painting for as long as I can remember.

I consistently delight in taking humble, mundane objects usually found within the home, the intention being to present them with a notion of expanded presence and importance. It is not always necessary to see ordinary things in an ordinary way.

Individual images, although able to stand alone, are frequently able to benefit from being presented with similar work, to create more of an impact. During and since the Pandemic I have been moving away from working with pencil and charcoal as my preferred medium to indulge in wonderful colour and the forgiving quality of oil paint. I am currently exploring shirts and blouses!
